During our August 16, 2008 program, we will discuss online resources and aggregations of online magazines with online magazine editor, Guy Kawasaki, alltop.com. How do you quickly find the headlines of the latest stories from dozens of sites and blogs? Find out the answer to this question and more during the Technically Speaking Radio program.
Alltop site as a “digital magazine rack” of the Internet. To be clear, Alltop sites are starting points—they are not destinations per se. The bottom line is that we are trying to enhance your online reading by both displaying stories from the sites that you’re already visiting and helping you discover sites that you didn’t know existed. In other words, our goal is the “cessation of Internet stagnation” by providing “aggregation without aggravation.”

News: Google Adsense in Feedburner feeds
Until recently, when attempting to use Google Adsense for feeds, publishers experienced major disappointment. Originally, Feedburner was optimistic about this endeavor. However, for most Feedburner publishers the "FAN" option to monetize feeds simply did not work. Moreover, Feedburner announced that they were not quite certain when publishers would be able to insert ads into feeds. Illustration of Feedburner FAN page shown below:
But, Google has since taken matters into their own hands, developing an easy integration for feeds with their Adsense service.
Consider the current process “Beta”. Google has indicated that they will shortly make this migration process automatic so that the publisher can control the experience him-/herself via the Feedburner.Google.com domain. However, publishers may simply email, adsense-support-aff@google.com the following information:
- Your FeedBurner account username
- The Google Account email address you use to sign in to AdSense
And, they will help you set-up the account. But, please note that it is mandatory that you use your Google Account to use Adsense for your feeds.
After you have emailed the above information to Google, they will email you to outline the next steps for completing your feed migration.

Image via Wikipedia
More and more companies are looking for opportunities to sponsor initiatives that are hosted by other companies. Sprint has a web based submission and proposal process. By going to http://proposals.sprint.com/, you can submit a proposal to have Sprint sponsor your initiative.
Sprint's online proposal system was created to make it convenient for individuals and companies to submit their initiatives for quick consideration and review. The steps for submitting your proposals to Sprint are simple. First, create a username and password (you will need an email address on order to do this).
After your account is created, you will be prompted for detailed information regarding your initiative. As will most online forms, you will be able to identify the more important fields by looking for an asterisk. You will also be given a chance to present attachments that are related to your proposal.
Subsequently, you will have a chance to preview the proposal prior to submission. This way, you can check to see if there are any changes you would like to make because once you have submitted your proposal, you will not have a chance to go back and make changes. Once you are certain you have included all relevant information, you may formally submit your proposal by clicking the "submit" button.
After you have submitted your proposal, you will notice that you are not in the "evaluation" You will have the opportunity to preview your proposal as it will appear to our team. Once you are ready to submit your As with all projects, it is important to plan ahead when presenting Sprint with a proposal. Allow 4 months for the proposal review process.

Facebook entices developers for a great cause....CASH!
Image via WikipediaThe brave new world of social networking is always hungry for news of great innovative applications. As more and more entrepreneurs are turning to the net to stake their claims, "old school" social networking platforms such as Facebook are making it easier
for aspiring developers to learn from some more experienced developers, gain e-street cred, and earn cash.
Considering the fact that most developers create mash-ups and other apps for free (in between eating peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and watching Harry Potter marathons), this incentive is a real treat!
Let's be clear, however, the deadline for application submittal for this round of recipients is August 29, 2008. As you know, it isn't everyday that a tech grant just drops into your lap. So, why are you still reading this post....go apply!
